Thursday morning the team went to Greater Lisbon Christian Academy to do some work around their grounds. Jacob, Nancy, and Rob mowed the lawns; Kim, Cyla, and I took out weeds and replanted some slope cover; Daniel, Isaiah and Jacob help to weed the playground area. We ate a sack lunch at the school and then went straight to Belas for a field trip
Half of the team was able to join 12 kids to go to InFoot, a futsal facility. We played 3 games of 30 minutes and were able to connect with the kids. Halfway through the games, Nancy Soto shared a story on the lesson God is teaching her. She spoke about the realization of knowing she had God’s complete and utterly sufficient grace. The kids were engaged and listening as Jonathan Shoemaker translated.
Hannah made Korean Beef bowls for dinner and we enjoyed hanging out with the Pavoni’s at their house, folding laundry, and prepping for camp.
Pray that God would grant growth in the seeds that were planted and watered this week. That the families and children would come back to future events the full time team is putting on and continue to build relationships.
